Lewis School of English

Lewis School of English - Terms & Conditions

Established in 1976, the Lewis School of English is a boutique language school providing courses for adults and teacher training in Southampton, and junior programmes in various UK locations.

Southampton is a commercial centre and university city on the south coast, and is internationally famous for sailing, cruise ships and the Titanic. It is one of the greenest cities in England, has a Premier League football team and, with a population of 250,000, is neither too big nor too small. Southampton is also the hometown of the Lewis School of English Adult School, and therefore parent and child courses are available in the summer.

Our Adult School and all our UK Junior Centres are accredited by the British Council. This is a reflection of our high quality standards in all aspects of the services we provide to our students – everything from English language tuition to student welfare. Our school is licensed by UK Visas & Immigration as a Tier 4 Sponsor. Our licence number is V12H0AJV2.

We are a ‘boutique’ language school – independent, customer-focused and high in quality. Students have described our school as 'welcoming' and 'like a big family'.

In addition to lessons, you can attend our free Study Clubs. These are 1-hour sessions led by our teachers twice per week (once per week in summer). They include Conversation Club, Grammar Clinic & Guided Self-Study.

We are located opposite a beautiful park and just two minutes' walk from the city centre's shops and bus stops.
